The Ethiopian Catholic Church Social and Development Commission (ECC-SDCO) was founded in 1965. ECC-SDCO has been serving the community of Ethiopia on multi-sectoral intervention through its branch offices and congregations for over the last 50 years.
The vision of ECC-SDCO is to see a vibrant and self-reliant society. This underlies the strategic importance of social capital formation and resilience for a sustained improvement and capacities in the lives of people.
ECC-SDCO’s mission is working for resilient, inclusive, and integrated development of society implementing social impact programming strategies and activities. The goal also focuses on the improved quality of people’s lives and the well-being of the communities in its operational areas through implementation of integrated human development programming.
