Ana Cecília Cuentro

Program Advisor, Brazil

Ana Cecília Nascimento Cuentro is an anti-racist feminist, Brazilian and lives in Recife-PE. She is a social scientist, researcher, political articulation and social educator. She has been working for over ten years with projects, social research and group facilitation in NGOs. Her political and professional focus is on issues of gender, race and the defense of the human’s rights, especially women’s and girl’s rights.

Cecília is doing a Doctorate degree at PPGS/UFPB on Political Sociology and Women’s Rights with focus in self-care and collective care among women human rights defenders. In parallel, she is studying the Specialization Course in Care Policies with a Gender perspective at CLACSO.
