Chiara Sanfilippo joined the Freedom Fund in May 2026 as Strategic Partnership Officer, based in London.
Prior to joining the Freedom Fund, Chiara worked at Prisoners Abroad, a human rights and welfare charity providing humanitarian aid, advice, and emotional support to people affected by overseas imprisonment. She coordinated partnerships and fundraising, led various projects, and managed a large portfolio of individuals. She completed an internship at SOS Méditerranée and also supported humanitarian and nonprofit projects across Europe, contributing to planning, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
Chiara holds a Master of International Human Rights from the University of Essex and a Master in Fundraising from the University of Bologna. She also has a Bachelor in Psychology from Cattolica University in Milan.
