Douglas Souza

Douglas Souza joined the Freedom Fund as Financial and Administrative Assistant in April 2024, taking over the operational area of Hotspot Brazil in Recife and the Amazon.

Previously, as Administrative and Financial Assistant, Douglas spent 12 years working at Save the Children UK, in the Brazil office. He has also worked for the Abrinq Foundation for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, Plan International Brasil and Doutores da Alegria. He also spent a period as a teacher at the Pernambuco Department of Education.

Douglas has experience in general office administration for international cooperation agencies, and in finance, he has experience in controlling budget spreadsheets, social projects and accounts payable.

Douglas is a Business Administrator, graduated from Focca – Olinda College, and has a technological degree in Gastronomy Management from Senac College.
