Elizabeth Anderson

Senior Research and Evaluation Manager

Dr. Elizabeth Anderson joined the Freedom Fund in 2022 as the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager based in the U.S. She manages research for the Freedom Fund’s hotspots in Brazil and sub-Saharan Africa and is a steering committee member for the Monitoring and Evaluation of Trafficking in Persons (METIP) community of practice.

Prior to joining the Freedom Fund, Elizabeth was a Research Scientist at the International Center for Research on Women where she led research on child, early, and forced marriage, reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence. She is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mozambique and an alumnus of AmeriCorps in the U.S.-Mexico border region.

Elizabeth holds a PhD in Public Health and an MPH from the University of Arizona where her research focused on sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and vector-borne infectious disease.
