Nicola Hurley joined the Freedom Fund in 2025 as Head of Human Resources and Operations, bringing a wealth of experience in people, culture, and organisational leadership. She has a proven track record of shaping inclusive workplaces, driving HR transformation, and embedding high-performance cultures.
Prior to joining the Freedom Fund, Nicola was the Head of People and Culture at the Black Equity Organisation, where she led human resources strategy and operational improvements. She has also held senior roles at ClearView Research and the Fawcett Society, as well as serving as Chief Operating Officer at Black Thrive Global, where she oversaw human resources and operational functions.
Nicola is deeply passionate about equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) and has spent over a decade advocating for fair and inclusive workplace practices. She is committed to fostering environments where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
