Rachel Smith joined the Freedom Fund in 2023 as Head of Strategic Partnerships, overseeing relationships with our funders and implementing our ambitious fundraising strategy.
Rachel was previously Head of Development at Redthread, a UK non-profit supporting children and young people impacted by violence and exploitation, where she led all income generation, business development, communications, policy and research activity. She has previously held fundraising and partnerships roles in charities spanning international development, health and social justice. She serves on the Board of an organisation supporting young care leavers at risk of homelessness, and regularly provides consultancy and advisory support to other organisations working with young people impacted by exploitation and injustice.
Rachel holds a Diploma in Fundraising from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
