Havanna joined the Freedom Fund as Financial Manager in June 2023. She has worked as a corporate accountant for 15 years, the previous six with non-profit organizations in São Paulo and Recife.
Havanna served as a financial consultant and financial director for a social incubator for collectives that were not yet NGOs, but that already had active projects and funding. The organization also worked to promote projects for activists facing policy persecution.
Havanna values communication about accountancy and finance, presented in a welcoming and understanding manner. This is especially true for frontline partners, demonstrating the importance of transparency within financial management.
