ABC News Breakfast speaks with Freedom Fund about reducing bonded labour in India

September 26, 2019

New findings from external evaluations of the Freedom Fund’s hotspot programs by leading research organisations show that our community-driven interventions have reduced bonded labour by 80% in the villages where we work in India.

ABC News Breakfast spoke with Yuki Lo, our senior research and evaluation manager, about these positive findings and the implications for our work.

“These are 125,000 women, men, girls and boys who now have the choice to work at a fair wage and in safe conditions,” said Lo, explaining the impact of the Freedom Fund’s work.
