Nearly one-third of the world’s human trafficking victims are children
According to a new report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the number of human trafficking victims detected around the world has been steadily increasing and 30 percent of identified victims are children. Mapping the evidence on modern slavery in South Asia
An evidence map published by the UK Department for International Development draws together what is known about interventions to tackle trafficking, child and forced labour in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan. The map provides a visual summary of 116 existing and ongoing studies on modern slavery, as well as highlights research gaps.
Evaluation approaches for gender equality and marginalised voices
UN Women has released a new evaluation guide on Inclusive Systemic Evaluation for Gender Equality, Environments and Marginalized voices, applying systems thinking to evaluation by recognising the interactions between economic, social and environmental goals. The guide includes both a summary of the key theoretical concepts and tools for applying them in practice.

Personal safety, recovery from stress and physical health needs were identified among the first needs to be addressed when a trafficked migrant is identified.
