Luciano Cristovam joined the Freedom Fund as Program Advisor in 2023 and is also a member of the Freedom Fund’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee. He advises the work of partner organizations in the implementation of hotspost CSEC Recife, in Brazil, whose premise is to confront and eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the metropolitan region of Recife/PE, Brazil.
Previously, Luciano worked for at least 15 years, in international cooperation and community development organizations such as: OEI, Plan International and ChildFund, and in other renowned and relevant third sector organizations (NGOs) in Brazil, carrying out management and support for the implementation of projects to improve public education, guarantee economic rights for young people and women, combat sexual and commercial exploitation of children and adolescents, among other social development and public policy issues.
Luciano has a degree in economic sciences, a postgraduate degree in education and production engineering, and has a PMD Pro certification in social and development project management (APMG) International. He has experience with topics such as: program and project management, process design and improvement, monitoring and evaluation of indicators, strategic planning, stakeholder management and partnerships.
