Melanie Hargreaves joined the Freedom Fund in June 2022 as Media and PR Manager, to develop and lead the organisation’s global media relations. She has worked in media and public relations roles in the charity sector for 12 years, having previously worked at international development organisation Christian Aid where she covered humanitarian emergency response, as well as campaigns addressing global displacement and violence against women and girls.
Melanie also led media relations at UK domestic charity, Hospice UK and prior to entering the charity sector, Melanie worked as a journalist for The Press Association (PA Media).
She holds a BA in European studies and MA in newspaper journalism.
